lemon law and cobalt????

i was wondering if anyone ever pursued the lemon law based on the 05 cobalt ss/sc because i have had check engine light issues since i bought the car and it seems like if not one thing is wrong with the car its another just wondering if anyone has pursued this and if so what happened?

Not sure, i've seen a lot of people mention they were going to go that route, but I don't recall anyone reporting back saying they had done it. Search is your friend. And if your serious, contacting a lawyer in your state will probably yield a lot better results than asking for the info you want here.

a guy from our club here in dallas pursued it and chevy bought his car back from him. i am actually in the proccess of getting mine bought back from me. i take it in on monday.
call this number, 1-800-222-1020 and file the report with them so that they can review the case for you. they will tell you what to do from there.

also the lemon law has to do with taking your car in a certain number of times for the SAME problem. it cant be different things each time. for example, mine is a constant coolant leak that they still havent fixed after 5 times. good luck!

It is a little different in each state so do your homework.

Also, if your car has been in the shop for 30 or more days in an 18 month period.

You have to explain your CEL first. What codes have you been throwing? If you keep throwing the lean code then no, you can't pursue the lemon law. You have a CAI on your car.

Bavoose.. If you were getting it before you got the CAI I would have gotten it fixed before the CAI.

This is another reason I will only ever get gm mods installed by GM.

Untill my car is beyond 72 months or 100k miles!

man i've been having so many problems and i still don't think I can get mine bought back... i'd be surprised if you do.

I've had....

a transmission fuel leak , that at first was mistaken for a faulty slave cylinder tied in with the brake hydraulics. Took a week to figure out it was actually a crack in the transmission casing. was told it would be a week for a tranny waited a month.

Finally got the car back and bam 4 hours later after fueling up the pin holding my ball joint fell out and ate the **** out of my tire and did 575 $ damage plus a 100 $ Tow.

I wait a week get my car back.. Took it for a 30 min test drive and boom i pull into a convenience store and my clutch gives out... just pushes to the floor like nothing and won't engage... so off we go again in the tow truck back to the dealership...

Now I wait to see whats next ... They'll be looking at the clutch prob tomorrow when they go back to work and see it sitting there again... this has turned into a 2 month struggle since the tranny... sigh.
