Anyone know if the price is going to go up??? Because there is no sense in getting an 05 when the 06 comes out late august. thats what a couple of dealerships told me. They said it may go up 1% in price, and they come with the G85 option package. Personelly, I just was the LSD, not the seats, but I guess you have to get both. So, I may be ordering an 06 very soon...

 

Well, let's see,........First, If you can get your hands on an 05' this late in the year, it's worth more in the long run because you'll have less mileage on it. Second, the dealer wants your order on the 06' for allocation and they could sock you for more $$$'s. Third, find out if there is any 05 with the g85 in your area and negotiate with the dealer close to you to get it transfered to them(I doubt it though because they'll go fast and dealers don't want to give them up if they have them. If you find one, go to that dealer ASAP!!!!!

You'll pay more for financing because you'll have to pay the entire cost. If you own your own business go for the lease and write a percentage off!!!!

Don't know about cost in the states but I will be paying $450.00CAD per month to lease....Yes, I own my own business and can write it off. Insurance........$140.00CAD per month. 34 years old...........perfect history!!!!

 

by me, there is a dealership that just got in 3 brand new, 05 ss cobalts. the only 05 ss cobalt with the g85 package is in new jersey, but prob an hour ride. i know a guy at a dealership that said the ss with the g85 and every option available, lists for $25,500. I want the sun roof, and airbags, and G85... i could care less about XM and onstar, so thats like $800 off. So, im looking around $24500 with no rebates or anything. In order to get one, I need it to be in the low 23,000 range, 24500 is too much. i also want to get my payemtns to undr $300 a month...idk if I will be able to afford it this summer..i want one so bad, plus i got to college, so its hard..

 

I guess the other thing to remember is that yeah, 1% sounds small, but 1% is like 2-300 bucks. That's half of an upgrade kit to get you to 240hp.

Personally, if there's no difference, why not get the 05? Unless you really want the LSD and can't find an 05 with it.

 

i really want this car, but i think i want to wait to see what upgrades come out for it. I would love to be able to run 13's with this car after upgrading, but idk what kind of toys will be coming out for it..

 

Hell the car does 14s stock. There will be plenty of stuff to get you into the 13s easily.

 

as far as I know........If you want side air bags you have to get onstar!!!!!

In Canada, you have to get OnStar if you want SAB (the exception is in the base trim level, where you need ABS to get SAB). In the States, they're available separately.

 

This it the price breakdown I got from the dealership:
Invoice on the car with everyoption including the G85 = $25,650
If you got nothing, just the car, $21350
G85+sun roof+ air bags = $24,050 (this is the package I may want)
$23,050 with everything above minus the 1,000 rebate

all i want is the sun roof and airbags. i dont need onstar, or want XM. Idk about the G85, cause I want the sld, but not the seats. is the sld that important, because I think it is, especailly if I am going to the track a lot with it.... so if i wanted to buy the car tomorrow, an 05', it would in the 22,000 range, because the 05 has no G85....so, idk what to do...

why should I buy this car? what makes this car so special? pursuade me to buy the car like you were a salesmen...
