Speed resolution

Hey there I noticed within the past month or so the site has been acting realllllly sluggishly to the point where it is near impossible to post replies. I know everyone could say its my connection but being on a 9 meg line here at home im certain it aint only me having this issue. I have pinged the site and ran a trace route and everything says im good but the site just seems like it is about to die. I did a recent format and am only using 16 gigs on my c drive of an available 120gigs so it aint my pc and plus other sites dont have this issue. I also checked on a computer with an oc48 connection and it was still going slow after getting on the site even though pings and trace routes complete fast as hell. I also tested using megaproxy and it took a long time as well

Is anyone else having this issue at home or whatever? For me it is pretty random but enough for me to voice some concern.

Yeah, it's not just you, maybe a moderator could yell at the IT guys. Unless the Mods are IT guys, in which case a flogging is in order.

I've been having the same problems, but they are sporadic.

Sometimes it works like normal, others it bogs down rediculously.

no comment on where I work unfortunately.

At home I use *** communications. This is thier fastest consumer line only to be out done by their higher end business connections.

so ill assume i was right. or you work at that other place thats kinda close by, but they fly their employees in and its on a dry lake bed. which would make sense if you only posted one or two days a week, like clockwork. i kinda wanted to work doing something like that but my wife(hate that recurring theme) threw a fit that i couldnt come home and get the honey how was your day question. i just wanted to work on the pulse wave detonation engines. i love stuff like that. then id probably need my aerospace engineering and nuclear engineering doctrates, but i had to give those up once i realized how expensive it would have been. no place in texas can even do nuke for a doctrate. UT can do aerospace tho.

i dont suppose its a job i can put an app in for eh? one of those "we will call you" places. my uncle does that kind of stuff for the pentagon, he lives in VA. my aunt used to work there too. till her office was destroyed by a plane, then she retired from the navy.

Earlier you said you got 1,148-kbps down. That is nowhere hear the fastest line that *** offers. I have their 9mbps/1mbps service and that is the fastest home connection in the Phoenix area. My download speed is generally in the 7800-8900kbps range

Yeah I've seen the same problem at home and at work. Most of the time its good, but sometimes I can't even look at it, other times it takes like 3 minutes to load.

lol dude your not serious are you?

do the converstion of bits to bytes also known as data to storage and you will have your answer.

*** premier is a 9mBITSps connection which equals 1,098.6 kBYTESps

That being said my connection is even FASTER than what is advertized.

OniMirage for the win
