Tranny Break-in

Hey everyone,
I bought my Cobalt today, it has less then 150 miles on it right now and the shifting doesn't feel very smooth from 1 - 2 and to 5. Does the action get smoother as the tranny is broken in? I noticed a definate break-in time with my brakes..

Thanks,
RYan

mine has never gotten any better the 1-2 shift just feels like shift and 5 is WAY too far out there unless you got a short throw.

It will get smoother, but I think for each person it may vary, as for 1 and 2 gear they are short ,first gear especially sucks

I put on an additional 400 miles and I can it's safe to say the 1-2 shift has gotten much better, 3-4 is a dream, and 5 is working ..l.. decent for the amount it will be used (highway only). Don't all SS S/C's have the short throw? My sticker price says I got a short throw, but I don't trust the dealership knows what a short throw is. The throw does seem short, but I am not sure if it's as short as a aftermarket.

Thanks,
RYan
