Pacesetter has the painted ready to ship. Ceramic are shipping in about one week, very limited supply. Order now if interested as they dont have many in stock.

We will be stocking these soon but in the mean time, we will have pacesetter ship the headers to our customers direct.

I dont think pacesetter has a good rep becasue there headers have been known to have a bad build quality. They rust if you dont get the coated ones. I guess just go for it. Let us know how it turns out.

Pacesetter has honestly really turned around in the past 3 years. They make some of the best headers for the J-Bodies (Cavalier/Sunfire)
Ceramic Coated all the way, dont get painted as the paint is only for shipping purposes and will rust. The Ceramic are top notch and will not rust.

That is a good looking header. This is my only issue with it.

"Header bolts not included. In some cases, fabrication may be required. For installation, you will cut the pipe right at the cat , insert the Pacesetter 3" extension, and weld it on".

So this header already comes with a mid/down pipe?

Yeah that's what it seems like. Why didn't they just make it a shorty or go the whole way with a downpipe too? I don't like the cut and weld thing going on with this header.

This is how all the pacesetter headers are setup, they always slip over the stock exhaust just before the cat.

That's too god damn expensive for something made by Pacesetter. I'd pay maybe $200 for that. Ah...I see the painted are $200. DAMN that's cheap. What are we talking? 30 day warranty?

So this header basically comes with the mid/down pipe, just not a cat?

Pacesetter headers come with a 3 year warranty. Thumbs up to Aaron for not sugar coating it and telling the truth about the painted headers.

Yup i just read that, looks like i will be getting this header, but no one has really answered my question yet, does this header already come with a mid/down pipe that connects all the way to the stock cat?

I cant tell you 100% but it does look like you need a downpipe still. Compare it to the weapon r. The weapon r looks way bigger.

^ Replied but for everyone else, again the stock cat stays in place, and is not affected by this install.
The header connects to the exhaust just before the cat and requires a little welding.

It looks like you will have to cut your stock downpipe and weld the adaptor that is included into it . Pacesetter makes some of the best bang for the buck stuff , we do a ton of it with camaro/firebirds and the stuff fits mint and makes good power . It will rust though , but noone will see it anyway and it functions well .

the extension piece that it comes with extends down to about 1" before the cat, you must cut the down pipe at that point and have it welded in.

so from the cat and until your catback exhaust begins will still be stock.

I have the ceramic coated version on my 2.2, its not bad quality. Honestly I'd rather have a header with a flex pipe vs the ball joint setup or even better, a race header but for the price I can live with it.
