Turbo Tech Racing backs their shyt up!

After a week long battle with FedEx on the phone a couple times a day and being in contact with Aaron from TurboTechRacing I have FINALLY received my Pacesetter header.

Just thought I'd make it public how awesome this company is.

Aaron...thanks for the daily e-mails asking for a update. Glad to know at least one company cares.

Now why it was a week long battle. Ok I received the e-mail with tracking number and all from TTR and followed the package. Well I didn't check on Thursday(suppose to of received it then). Don't think anything about it because Monday-Friday of last week I received parts for my Cobalt. I spent a good 3K last week just so you guys know. And won't let you guys know until everything is on. Sorry but I don't want to spill my guts just yet.

Well I checked Friday morning when I got to work and it said package had been delivered. Well I had no package. So I get on the phone immediately and Tuesday I hear back from the driver(hmm) and she was like I dropped it off blah blah. Turns out...wrong house. And it wasn't even on my street for crying out loud and it is not hard to find my house since I'm the only brick house on this mile stretch of road. So she finally located it, but I didn't ask just was finally glad. TTR has a awesome rep, and this by NO means was their fault. So ALWAYS keep an eye on your packages rather you have just one or as many as 8 in one day of ordering like me. You bought the stuff so you should be allowed to know where its at.

OH yeah its going on Saturday. I'm getting rid of my cat as well. Maybe my resonator as I have two mufflers.

I'll let you guys know. I won't post all my stuff up until I'm tuned which may take another week. Got a speeding ticket today by Laser doing 13 over so that 110 buck ticket hit the tuning budget. I felt so stupid, but the cop was polite. My 2nd one already damn...but first was over a year ago.

how are you going to tune?

What are you going to do about the CEL that accompanies no Cat?

SAFC-II and I will have it on the dyno with the wideband o2(included at the dyno) sensor. Relocate the o2 sensor and if I still get a CEL then I'll deal with it. Plus my SAFC-II covers up that part of my cluster. No emission testing for me so CEL or no CEL doesn't matter. I can always erase the code when it pops up as I have access to all these tools unlike your average joe. Since Auto Zone is really NOT suppose to clear codes.

I have a light but I bought me a OBDII Scanner to keep that bad boy off. Almost finished with the install of my SAFC-II just having trouble finding the RPM signal wire. And I gotta program the unit for my car.

But I did install the Pacesetter header. I made it a custom race header. Bought some exhaust piping for the extensions and just deleted the cat kept the stock rear o2 sensor location and put the front one where the bung is on the header. Let's just say I'm glad I installed the inline muffler. It is raspy as hell like with ANY header. But the resonator, inline muffler, and my regular aftermarket muffler keeps it down to a minimum unless under moderate or heavy throttle. Fab experience is needed to make this process faster which is why I knocked it out in 1 1/2 hrs on a hot engine...I have no fingerprints on my left hand anymore because of the engine. Factory manifold wasn't that bad it was me just trying to get bolts off and touching the cylinder head. Didn't really take pictures of the install for a How-TO because I had to concentrate on getting the job done. Sorry guys.

It's a 8 out of 10 installation...since you need welding experience. But enough of the typing here is the picture. Enjoy!

Oh yeah only notice I've had is I spin my tires a little more going into 2nd gear. On stock contis I do NOT want to know what it would've done. I had a little traction lost going into 3rd on certain pavement.

My rims and tires are Riax Seca 16" with 215/50/16 Kumho SPT tires and I spin tires enough in 2nd to get respect for having the torque. There is a notice where the header was designed to put the power...mid to high range since its a 4-1 header instead of 4-2-1 race header.
