I do it all the time. I think you are SUPPOSED to push it all the way to the floor. But i absolutely love that i dont have to. It does feel a little smoother. But i have also had a couple brain farts and ground a gear by letting the clutch out before i was fully in gear.

I think it might be because that when you push in the clutch all the way to the floor it allows more time for the engine rpms to slow. The way you and i shift its like

1st to 3000, shift 2nd start at 2000 shift at 3000 to 3rd etc

i never put it all the way down...except for ful stops.....but be careful i have gotten lazy a couple of times and ripped gears.....otherwise yea i like it i can shift quicker and it does feel smoother....now involving a 2.4l no matter what it shifts a little shakey at anything under 3000 for me...im gettin better so i dotn notice it much anymore,.,,,....otherwise she shifts smooth a higher rpm's

if you want it to engage later instead of all the way out, you can adjust it, i dont know if it would make any difference for racing for quicker shifts but it is just something to think about if you dont like the point of engagement for the clutch
