Transmission fixed at the dealership

Dropped my car off at the dealer Tuesday, got it back on Friday. They had the transmission out and apart. I was hoping to put in a flywheel and clutch while it was apart, but they put it back together before I was able to get one. Oh well...

I brought my car in because the shifter had a lot of play in the forward and backwards direction. After inspection, they determined that it was an internal problem. They ended up replacing a pin (part# 12755021 pin 043070) under warranty. I also got an alignment done under warranty too!

Anyways, if anyone ever has a loose shifter, this might be the problem. This is now my third warranty claim. I wonder how many more I'll have?

One thing I must say, the service at Saturn of Calgary North East was top notch. I also had my Stage 1 installed there too. Definitely a good dealer and I can only hope that everyone's dealerships are as helpful and friendly as these guys.

Hey Cody! Remember you told me to shift harder and that there was no way I'd be able to break the transmission? Well... it broke! LOL Now that it's back together, I'm thinking about getting the B&M shifter. After seeing the short shift kit for those SRT-4's I'm jealous and think that the stock shifter's throw is way too long.

lol....yeah yeah

rod brakes prevent you from doing what you just did, they prevent you from OVERthrowing you gears and most aftermarket shifters come with them.

Ed, I was at the dealership when you called Ashley asking him abotu bringing your car in for tranny problems.

I was listening to him talking to you... and im like "hey is that guy's name Ed? and He nodded yeah." then he hung up and said u had tranny problems... and i said...."well ill tell ya that its NOT from racing " lmao. Yeah those guys are good there.

Bob (the parts manager) is a good friend of mine. (used to date my mom years ago) lol.

In one sentence, I told them I wasn't racing, then in the next I was telling them about my times and my dyno... lol!
