Volume going up with speed?

I actaully think this is kinda funny but when I stop on in it seems my volume goes up. LOL. When I slow down really fast the volume will go down. Anybody else notice this? I know its really weird.

The radio screen doesn't even show it going up or down.

Gotta love it

Yah its a nice feature these cars have so you dont have to adjust it yourself. There are settings for it on the radio you can set it to off, low, medium, or high i believe. I cant remember what exactly it is called but someone on here will know.

Anyways i leave mine on high, i see the best results with it there.

that would be the automatic volume control. I questioned it at first also so I grabbed the book and read about it. Volume goes up when accelerating to compete with wind and road noise. It will go down when deccelerating so it is not overbearing. There is a button to adjust the change in volume under the radio. It has the pic of the angle on it. It is all in your manual.

definately in my opinion to have this feature!

Here's the how-to turn off the auto volume:

Hit the button until it says Auto Volume Off

Maybe if you keep your finger on it for a few secs. I will have to try this.

It depends, when you hit the button it cycles it, there are four positions off, low, medium, and high. So say the setting is on medium right now and you press the button it will go to high, hit it again and it will go off, and so on. It will tell you what setting it is in right on the screen when you press the button. Pretty simple

Keep in mind that high can be way to high if you have the windows down where noise from the engine and wind are at a very low minimum level. In those cases low would be best, for slower window down driving medium is perfect and high speed freeway/highway conditions would call for high.

Cameron took out his cat, so I think he needs a new setting somewhere above high.

There's a really cool book in the glove box called the owners manual. Maybe you should take it to the library (read toilet) while you do you doody. It's a good read.

The auto volume has been around a while. My sister's 98 Malibu has it and I'm sure the vette and other cars had it in 97.
