Hey was just wondering if you NHRA/IHRA fans heard the news? It appears NRP is changing sanctioning bodies from IHRA to a full fledged NHRA track, which means the Powerade Drag Racing Series Will debut in NORWALK during the july 4 weekend next summer..! Sad to see IHRA lose this track as i know a few IHRA drivers that run there and think its a amazing track, been there once before and loved it!! But on the flip side so STOKED that i can drive not to far to see an NHRA race (which ive wanted to do forever now) What does everyone think? or am i the only one that follows this series...?

 

yah i live near pittsburgh raceway park and its IHRA, whats the difference between IHRA and NHRA, i thought they were the same only different levels of racing like formula 1 and forumla 3 idk can you explain.

 

More or less they are the same (sometimes competitiors run both)however they are different sanctioning bodies which means they are in competition more or less NHRA is the big dawg a multi million dollar company they i guess would be considered the "pro" type racing as IHRA would be more for ppl starting out and might not have as much money...Im sure you know who John Force is he runs NHRA and owns several teams (all three of his hot daughters drive race cars) it more the league for the "big hitters" their fastest class runs 4.60 @ 330MPH...! Thats hauling ASS!
