Tuned with HPtuners.

Okay guys, I just tuned it today, I did a mix of GM stg 2 with a little bit of my knowledge. Well bottom line it the car runs consisten 12s now in my wideband and the top end is insane. I get to 120 sooooooooooo fast now. My second gear feel stronger but what feels like a monster is the 7100 redline in third gear. The blower sounds insane now.
By the way I put like 5 car lenghts on a 350z with intake headers and exhaust from 80 to 120. Imagine what I would have done from 40!

ALso, Big thanks to my dawg SHeek360 for his great Support.

Good to hear. I can't wait for my tune. Any dyno numbers before and after?

Sweet! I got tuned too, I have my limiter at 7150, but its pulling too hard at 7150 so I'm gonna raise it to 7250.

Mainly the Fuel cut off was raised to 7200. I think I left everything else the same.

lol ljavies tune isnt complete yet. theres definately more to be gained while staying safe. in about 2 more weekends your a/f should be stabilized. then we can begin to add timing. after the timing goals are achieved we gotta make the 100 octane tune.

So you didn't have to lean it out at the top? My Wego runs into the high 10's at redline, I was thinking about getting a tune.

javi and i havent added timing yet, he's preety much running a tune good enough to ditch the maf-t <and smoke a 350z>. his a/f is a tad shaky, but in tolerance. That will change though, in otherwords; he's running the equivalent of the gm stage 1 with tq management.

tq management made a huge differance for my car today. im stock with just an intake and my car in 2nd chirpped like never before! Well, goodnight Ljavy.

Nope. Intense 2.8". AEM and SCDyne header. I have my readings I mentioned in second gear. I was hoping the header would lean it out a bit, ended up being not as much as I thought it would.

a few questions,
my stage 2 was great, but when i added an intake it obviously affects the car, for instance...
boggin in second, hesitaions at low or high rpms nad after a few hard runs, when i try to accelerate or shift the car sounds like its farting from the exhaust,
im getting my car tuned with hp tuners soon with stage 2 adn im sticking to my 2.85 zzp pulley, what are the basic things that need to be doen to correct this, ex timing, a/f?

I've heard that that farting sound is from the injectors sticking open. I'm not sure on that though.

I'm running stage 2 with a 2.8" also, and when the guy leaned the a/f out in my car while tuning, the torque curve dropped accross the board and the top end hp leveled and started dropping at 6200 rpms. My car seems to be happiest when the a/f is in the high 10's low 11's, showing power losses and some knock when the a/f gets up into the 11's. This baffled the guy tuning my car, as he's tuned a couple RL's and one other SS/SC and had no problems tuning them. He even offered me a discount because he believed my car should of been capable of putting down another 10-15 hp easy, but couldn't figure out why my car didn't like the higher a/f ratio. He raised the rev limit to 7200 rpms, but it seems best if I shift at or a little over 6500 as the torque drops off too much any higher. He also said there was a governer set at 155 mph, turned it off altogether, not that I'd ever drive that fast anyways.

what is the cause of that if thats the case?
like i said this stuff only happens on occasion and it only started when i put an intake on, one of the reasons why im getting a tune lol.

Ditch the MAF-T ! The MAF-T will only screw up your hptuners calibration.

Congrats on the Hptuners tune! I'm running 2.7 with 42lbs and hptuners. Yea the speed limiter is at 155 on stock tune lol. Also all cars have torque managment tables so when you set all those values to not enter Torque management you will feel more response. As a side note I changed the Throttle position Max VS RPM to 100% across board, and now when you let off the gas the car will give a jerk like you downshifted while poping the clutch. But all is good cause it's just the Throttle body slaming shut. Also a cause for the injectors to stick, is to much fuel pressure, PCM thinking they are smaller then they really are and letting them stay open to add enough fuel, even though the new injectors are higher flow rate, or injectors that are old. BTW I haven't proven it yet cause I don't have my wideband yet, but I've seen several people get the best out of the SC cars with a 11.8 rather then 12.0 or higher. Obviously this can't be proven without a dyno. Last but not least Someone asked where you get HPTuners ---> www.HPTuners.com lol. I'll post some preview pics up in a minute. Good luck

ya, but i have the 42.5 poudners and the gm stage 2 flash, its wierd how a piece of pipe affects these cars lol,
b4 the intake i never had an issue, now with the intake, dont get me worng i love it, but it tends to mess around with a few things, i just cant wait for my tune lol.
