Well after an awesome summer in the States with my Cobalt SS S/c I'm putting her up in storage early do to another deployment. I bought it on May 4th 2006 and drove it here in Michigan for a month, then drove it across the country to Cali for 3 months then back across the country to Michigan. She's got alittle under 8,000 perfect miles. Haven't had a single problem with it yet. Put alot of money into mods for it and I'm damn glad I bought it. Just thought I'd write alittle something up cause I'm pretty sad to see it covered in the Garage and I won't see it again for 8 months. Can't wait to return and get some more performance mods and a few exterior mods when I get back. Well wish me luck and hope my Cobalt starts fine for me next spring!!!

So this is a dumb ass question.... what do you need to do to store your Cobalt for the winter ?

 

what arena are you deploying to Afganistan or Iraq, well go win some hearts&souls

 

Call GM Customer Service and state that you want a sheet to fill out to put it in storage. You mail it into them and they say yay or nay on storage. Make sure you have the requirements on your insurance to safely have it put away. Shouldn't cost more then $150 for the six months.

I contacted GM to see what they thought I shoud do to store it and this is what I came up with. My insurance is $13 a month whiles it's stored in a heated Garage, I removed my wheels and tires and put the stock one's on. The car has a full tank of 94 octane fuel and will be started up every week for 15 min. The car will rolled out of place into a new place to deal with the flat spots in the tires, and it's covered in the Garage so no other trash can hit it or do anything to my baby.
