2.2 ecu tune?

When the 2.2 tune is available how much Hp and Tq do you think it will pull? Also if you dont mind me asking what exactly is a tune and how does it work? Is it bad for the engine if its working harder?

The gains will depend on other mods that you have as well. A stock engine setup can't get too much more from just an ECM tune. Maybe about 10HP, as much as any single bolt on mod.
Tuning becomes important when you start to change other stuff. Like say you put in some new cams, which are one of the most tunable parts around. Cams with a tune can get you perhaps as much as 30HP.
Tuning works like this...Modern engines are completely computer controlled. With regard to the engine specifically, there are two variables; Fuel and Ignition. You can "tune" the computer to adjust when (and in the case of fuel for how long) each of those things happens.
With a turbo for instance, you really need a lot more fuel delivery. So you will probably have bigger injectors. So you need to tell you computer how to fire those injectors (pulse width, how long to fire fuel). So thats "tuning"

BTW, you need to reduce the size of your signature.

They didn't get, how did you put it, "gyped". The published horsepower data changes each year with updates to design. The 2007 L61 has a new head design and exhaust cam, giving a bit more rated power then the 2006. I'm sure that's probably what you read.
