Mine is painted but on the LS the trim is usually a grey color and in the LT its silver. However the cupholder and around the shifter is normally black

why do you need to see one unpainted? it's the same thing, just another color...

i want to see what the original material is like in the LS. if it is a rough black i may want to trade my silver SS trim plates for an LS version so i can paint it. paint should hold a little better with the rough surface, plus it'd give the opportunity to help out a fellow cobaltss.net member who might want the silver trim

It depends on what color you got. Its not the same on all the cars. Some are black, some are grey, some (mine) are silver just like the SS. There are pictures all over the Gallery section, just look around. Or go to a dealer!

The material is smooth. It has the same texture as the LT trim. Its just a different color and as long as you prep what you want to paint before you paint it the paint should stick without a problem

Likely from the gases the sock produces.

I am getting ready to do my roll cage and seat brackets and steering wheel bowtie. Perhaps I should carry this through as you have. I was also thinking about the pillars, front and back?????

Your not joking about expensive. I got the actual victory red and if I end up having to buy more I am sure I won't tell the wife
As far as it being do able as long as you do proper prep and priming, everything is paintable.
