GM Stage 2 kit aftermarket?

so i was picking my car up at my dealer for a warrenty part that needed to be fixed and well i was like since im here let me ask parts department a question. I stroll over to parts and well i ask them how much would it cost me to order gms stage 2 kit for my cobalt ss and they tell me this, "I dont c anything of performance. you will have to order it somwhere else b/c its an aftermarket part." i thought to myself how is it an aftermarket part when it says gm right on it well idk. The good side of goin to the dealer today they gave me free cobalt sport pedals i was happy and threw them on right away but still its a gm performance part and parts deparntment says they cant get it b/c its aftermarket!!

They're full of it. Go to a different dealer. You're gonna run into problems with them if you do actually produce a Stage Kit, and then if you go so far as to give them the correct part number they'll still try to void your warranty.

No, I ran a 3" pulley and colder plugs for a while. If you're worried about warranty just try to find a credible dealer. Good luck with that. Now if you want performance get a pulley, HP Tuners and some 60# injectors and have fun. It's all about whether you want to maintain that warranty.

first of all you need to talk with a dealer that knows wtf they are talking about. get the part number for stage 1 or 2 then make sure they understand the following,

-

the text written in the pic below does not apply to this (it was part of a different issue but the information below it tells specifically what the stage kits include

He probably doesn't need to go to that particular dealer Oni. Every member who's came on here and posted that the dealer didn't know about Stage 2 tried to void their warranty. He needs to find a credible dealer.

Don't buy the stage kit from the dealer anyways, it is too expensive. crateenginedepot or paceparts have it much cheaper.

Theyre full of it, go to GM'S website and go to performance shop. print out everything out and bring it to them. its under GM theyre just trying to void the warranty and if u do go with a dealer make sure that their people have done stage kits before, or go to dealer that has trust me, better safe than sorry and also make sure they dont BS the labor hours. a pulley system install and belt should not take more than 2hrs, pcm flash about an hour and for injectors, not quite sure do some reasearch.

just trying to save a fellow cobalt owner some money
