Carbon Fiber SS style IPP hoods coming in shortly.


A new Carbon Fiber hood is coming to market for the Cobalt / Cobalt SS ! Its going to be a Carbon Fiber hood with a Camaro SS style scoop in the middle. Its going to loook sharp !

We will be getting a sample piece to put onto our project car in the next two weeks or so, and will provide real world, installed pictures of the piece.

Furthermore, we have convinced the manufacturer, IPP to make a OEM style hood for us so that for those of you who dont want a Camaro SS style hood will have another option. Just as you will come to expect from Modern Performance, we will test fit the piece on our own car, make sure it fits our quality standards, and provide these pictures on our website when both of these come into stock.

Very nice news indeed. I used Rksport to do both of my old cavaliers, but I do not like their Cobalt hood to well. ( I had their SS style on my Cavy). Even looking at the stock SS hood lines, and EVO or heat extractor seems Ideal. But I loved the look of the SS on my Cav and think the Cobalt should look great also.

I anticipate pictures, if all is well, I will be one of your first orders. ;)

I've installed a new exhaust and Rksports 3 piece wing, I think an SS hood will look great with it. :cssNET:

Update :
The sample hood will be arriving on wednesday and we will be test fitting it on our Cobalt SS and showing pictures to all !

We have just received the hood, and are test fitting it, taking pictures now.
We will have pictures up shortly, its looking really good so far !

will the hood be good for the LS or just the SS? just curious

Delirium, it will fit both the LS and the SS.

We are receiving these hoods within the next week and have limited quantities.
