I keep trying to get some locals to meet up some night to go over mods & just play around so I'm looking for Iowa Cobalts as I know there are a few

Well i guess we went to the last car show on the south side last night at Hardys on SW9 & armypost Rd
My wife & I usually go to porkys dinner on car night to see the custom rides & to see if there are any new Balt owners as Bob a former Balt owner always attended.

As for racing I really don't do any street racing but I know there is a couple places they block off the road & race till the cops show up !

Any way we need to meet up to compare mods & see whats new & we could have a grill out at my house if people are interested as I posted this to find as many Iowa members as I can. I have been running with the Camaro club for now.

Hey CBYellowSS my nephew is living in CB & comes to Des Moines alot!

 

Theres a Chasis Dyno here in Des Moines. I believe the shop is called Midstate Machine. Me and some friends have been trying to go there, but we haven't had time, since we've all been busy with school and work and stuff. Might be fun if we all get together and go Dyno sometime.

 

Hey Gordon, how is it going?? Just wondered if you have seen my old white balt around town. Karl's had it for some time before being sold, they jacked the price up pretty good from what they offered me for it on trade. I been pretty happy with the silver 05 monte and have done some upgrades allready. Have put 17" ten spoke silver powdercoated wheels, tinted all windows (no problems so far), custom flowmaster dual exhaust and red racing stripes on hood and deck. I still wish I had held out for the 06 Monte SS (maybe next year). Got the Camaro put away for the winter (it should be starting anytime now) and hope to save up for some upgrades for it next Spring.

Let me know if you guys get a meet put together, I would like to see you guys again.

Does anybody know what nights Porky's does stuff? A couple years ago I attended a few "Import Nights" with my Integra, but thats about it.

 

I'm in Illinois but have family in Iowa Falls that I go see at least once a month (usually). I pass through the Quad Cities, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo and a crap load of other small places. If theres a meet sometime I'll try and get up there.
