tuning my car? hptuners help

well ill start with the basics of what ive done so far

ive removed a few litle things
like raised redline to7250 in every gear

i removed torque management from

my etc tps max VS rpm, retard vs % torque reduction, changed my etc, tcs, iat and cot to 100% boost, changed my max boost in 1st gear to full boost, chnaged full boost through the rest of the gears(no more bypass mod )
also i changed my intercooler pump ert min from 10 to 5 sec

also removed torque management from the transmission

torque reduction vs rpm, torque reduction duration, vs trans temp
torque vs shift- normal and performance

under system got rid of ac after 4400 rpm and 85% tps

i did A bit of dataloging 7 minute run lol

and came up with these

keep in mind this is stock injectors, 3 inch boost, pulley and cold air intake

i just marked my hghest duty % of the injectors for myself but i had a problem wiht my tps%

1st gear
rpm - 7156
Injector Duty% - 58%
speed - 39 mph
tps -82%(pedal was to the floor :S)
timing advance- 22 degrees

2nd gear
rpm - 6466
Injector Duty% - 66
speed - 68 mph
tps -88%(pedal was to the floor :S)
timing advance- 22 degrees

3rd gear
rpm - 6944
Injector Duty% - 65
speed - 110 mph
tps -88%(pedal was to the floor :S)
timing advance- 19.5 degrees

i have received no KR through the whole run which made me happy very very happy

i did not got a a/f reading as i didnt hook up my wideband sensor, tomorow when its dry

bassically is there a way to get 100% tps, i couldnt find anythign on hptuners i will be posting there right away, but i figured id try css.net 1st

also im thiking of advancing my timing, is there a limit to where i should watch out for, im gonna start with half degrees at a time, till i reach kr than back it off, ill also be monitoring my a/f soon

i thikn im running rich, im glad im not overworking my injectors tooo

if you got tips please chime in, i wanna get this perfect by the 7th of october to go hit the track

but yah thanks ahead guys

by the way the car pulls way harder, and infact it leaves my buddies stage 2 behind me now

good stufff, make sure you get ur AF to 11.8 to 12.2 and it will pull even harder. lower your max boost in first gear so that it increases slightly. ull see a big difference in this too

yah i lowered the boost in 1st and didnt help my car at all, was at the track in fact it lowered my 60 foot from a 2.2 to a 2.5 and slowed my times by .3 of a second
i tried with lowered 3 or 4 times and foudn no gain, not even 60 foots

i can get abosolutely perfect traction wiht my current mods, in fact launching at 1200 rpm it doesnt bog and i got 0 wheel spin or wheel hop, i guess well see i got one more weekend to find my pefrect run, im gonna have to rely on my g-tec puke ohh well atleast its an ss model, but it gives fucked up hp and tq numbers

I'm in the same hole here too. I tried reading up on some of this crap on the HPTuners forum, and I got lost fast and in a hurry. Do they give classes on this stuff somewhere?

Your injector duty is probably only showing half of actual. There is a way to fix that, I can't remember how off hand, something with the way the PID is set up.

Not saying those aren't good AFR #s to aim for but we can't really say what would be best for you in your car. There really is not perfect a/f ratio.

sunfirejoe, best thing you can possibly do is GET ON A DYNO!

After 25 degrees of timing you probably won't see to much benifit from going higher.

i was going to say that right now. Sunfire joe, your car loses complete control of the injectors past a static point. Like 80%, this will not allow the car to run piston protection or any other failsafe embeded programs. Buy bigger injectors.

Have you physically checked the TB blade to see if it opens 100%?

I know tons of SSR and Truck owners have a similar "problem". My TPS% was 85 yet my ETC 100% ( log TPS SAE it will say 85%, but ETC % Position says 100%)

On a side note, SSR and Truck guys are having actual TB blade restrictions when switching to the GTO 90mm TB. The blade physically opens only around 80-88%. HPT is apparently looking into this at the moment but there aren't any fixes that I know of.

Edit: I forgot to mention that my TB is 100% physically open although TPS% was 85. Hence why you might want to physically check the TB blade.

Got my HP Tuners package last night. Stupid laptop won't read CD or recognize MPVI. Had to re-install windows and all drivers. Almost done!! I wish there was someone out here that knew how to use HP Tuners. There are tons of stuff I can F*ck-up here. well I guess I'll learn the hard way

Easiest place to start in my opinion is go to HP Tuners web site and start reading there forums. Lots of info there.

Sorry, but your injector duty is WAY off. There is NO WAY in hell that you are only seing 50% IDC with a 3"pulley and stock injectors at that high of RPM

Hell, stock injectors, and stock pulley at 7000rom are at about 95% IDC.
