im in class so i dont have too much time... question is...
does the tred on drag radials wear down faster than street tires under normal driving conditions(everyday driving)? i have never had experience with these tires...

You really don't want to run drag radials on the road......they're really bad in the rain and the sidewalls are probably not very good for going around turns.

The tread is surely much softer so the answer to your question is yes, they will wear faster. You don't want to run them as an everyday tire.

If you want more longevity , the Nitto 555-r is a really awesome tire . You dont have to do Jon force burnouts to get them to hook , jus clean em off a lil . And the last set I had I got 18K street miles and I was at the drag strip about 1-2 times a month . I drove em in rain without a problem . Just drive conservatively .

I had these on a Camaro though , so I dont know what the street driving characteristic of a drag radial would have a FWD car as far a street driving in rain . Dry pavement should be non-issue .

.....in contrast , I had BFG drag radials in the same size on the same car after the Nitto's . They hooked MUCH better than the Nitto , nearly as good as my 15's on ET streets ....but , were used up in less than 4000 miles of street use .

i have the falken azenis drag radial on my car all the time. i've had no problems. of course drag radials will wear quicker cause there softer. it's all about how you drive too, don't drag race at every street light and you'll be fine. i have no problems in the rain.. of course i take it a little easy around corners and stuff.

I would not recomend using DRs for daily driving.

They whear farly fast (3-7K) on a front wheel drive car as 95% of the tire whear is on the front tires.

I would keep them track only if I was you.
