I just want to thank you OniMirage for letting us all know about the flash update for the stage kits. I got it done today, free of charge, no repair order or anything. I litterally just called the dealership, he said come in whenever I could today. I did.. he hooked up the laptop and scanner, and I was good to go. I just want to thank you personally OniMirage for putting up the paper that I needed to print so I could have this done and I want to thank cobaltss.net in general for being a awesome forum for news on anything cobalt related.

p.s. the car does run much smoother atleast from what I have noticed so far. Didnt jump on it yet, but I hear that gets better too!

 

yeah man props to ONImirage, i also got reflashed today but went through a little confusion....I walked back to my car showed the service manager the papers and he was pretty much speechless. The tech then walked over and 15min later i was driving home with my new flash.

I cannot really tell a diff because i never got a CEL and rarely got the sporatic idle/ on a side note The boost surging is MINIMAL although you can still feel it at part throttle. It just needs to be tuned, but im happy now

Read that. 6 page thread On the same thing, started 2 days earler.

The new tune is way beter then the old one. But there is still more power to be had for the computer in this car.

I had the stage 2 installed Thursday and picked it up yesterday. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!

I informed them of the new flash to make sure I got it, as they've done a few Stage IIs already.
I've had NO driveability issues yet........and the car RIPS!!! The first time I drove it hard through first gear into second it didn't just chirp the tires..........IT LIT THEM UP!!!
It also seems like the idle instability has disappeard even though the tech didn't do the flash.
I can't wait for someone to "rev" me now................

Of course, I did experience some clutch slippage later in the day
I haven't broke 3000mi. yet hopefully no problem at the dealership......

Yah Oni did a bunch of legwork and research to help out the boys and girls on his own time so, a pat on the back is in order.

And Badmunky, the HPT is a huge step up. I wish I would have did it earlier than I did.
