2 tone time

well its that time, I have reached a conclusion that something drastic needs to be done to the outside of the balt. I like the two tone idea from the begining, before I had ever seen anypictures of others doing it.
I went to a body shop today that does great work, they quoted me $1200 to do the top/hood/deck/mirrors/etc... in black, touch up the trunk and buff/polish the rest of the car to look new. It would kinda look like 27thelement's car because mine is arrival blue. Do you guys think this is too much too pay? Here are some current pics of the ride:

I think its a good price. I had a guy that I get a connection thru take a look at mine to repaint the entire car a perlesant color and he quoted me around 3k - 5k but that is due to the price of the paint but if i was to get the entire thing painted a normal color it would prolly still cost around 3k

i like the idea but black shows swirl marks very easily and quickly also it is hard to keep clean i have an idea to paint my whole car a dark red with extreme flakes in it.

I would say do it because the 2tone look is awesome, but I like the way your hood looks w/ the black and blue so I wouldnt ruin that with making it all black.

maybe you should have the hood scoop painted the blue and twotone the top of the car black (basically reverse the hood colors)

Thats my ride and I paid 1500 for a really top of the line job. They did some hardcore details and removed every possible peice. I also get to return in a few weeks for another buff job and paint protection.

Be picky and point out anything you dislike if you do have it done. The car looks a lot meaner in person and I am sure you would love it.

honesty black on top of the color looks better in imo cuz of the windows which are usualy tinted so it flows better. and also when you look at a car the windows usually look black anywho . but if you were to do a black i would say to make it a sparkly black to flow w/ the blue. i think that woudl look absolutly amazing. i too am thinking of going black on top of my red. been thinking of that for a while now . so hopefully next spring
