Exclamation RK Sport Extractor Hood!!

RK Sport is excited to announce the Cobalt Extractor Hood for their 2007 line up!

Drawing the design similar to the 02013060 Cavalier Extractor Hood, which is one of the most popular hoods produced by RK Sport, The design phase has just began for the new Cobalt / G5 extractor hood and is slated to be available to ship late 2006 to early 2007.

Pre-orders for this hood start October 9th.

Part number 12011006. Retail is set at $595.95

Pre- Sale pricing is set at $476.76 and will run until the first hood ships.

Don't miss out on this great opportunity. Pre-orders require a complete order and credit card info. YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL THE HOOD SHIPS. And because freight costs change daily we can give you an idea of current freight charges but cannot forsee what they will be in 90-120 days. You will be called to make you aware of your full total and that your product is shipping before we ship.

Orders will ship first come first served.

Call us @ 800-214-8030

Thanks,

Jim Wright

We are still in the design phase. But don't let that stop you from pre ordering. You are not being charged until it ships. So if you see the hood and not like it, I will give you one of our other Cobalt / G5 hoods for the same cost or simply cancel your order.

Nothing on the web. You will not be able to pre-order on the web until we have a working prototype to post picts.

We have a LOT of products being brought out in 2007. After SEMA which ones have the most pre-orders will take priority in production. So if we get 20 orders or so we could see this hood sooner!

CF is a possibility. Though because of the rising costs and virtual unavailabilty we will have to see at that time.

We had a little meeting this morning. At this point I cannot guarantee that we will have a CF version available. BUT... All possibilities with production are being looked at to make it happen.

You just cannot take a standard Fiber glass mold and produce a CF part. Considerations have to be taken in the design of the product as well as a mold specifically for CF.

But again...... You want it, we're going to look into making it happen.

because it would be twice as expensive and there would be little advantage to it the difference between a cf/fiber glass hood and a all carbon fiber hood is maybe 4 lbs

also keep in mind we drive econo boxes rk is a buisness there not going to be in buisness long if the make a 100 % carbon fiber hood and sell em for 1000$ and have noone want to spend that much for it.

cf/fiber is ok with me..this is a pretty good deal

The main thing to remember is that our products are hand laid. The time it would take to work an inner in CF and have it be RK Sport quality would take hours per hood.

The end resulting price for a complete CF hood would be through the roof. That is the main reason we only do the top. To keep the price at a reasonable cost.

And just as a reminder.......

We make our products in house here in Murrieta California using materials made here in the USA!
