Im no expert at all, yet, but from what Ive been looking at, I was thinking that I would be getting that interceptor gauge, because of the multi functionality, the AEM wide band and probably keep the stock boost gauge... Those are just my preliminary thoughts on what I might be doing....

You can actually run your wideband into a interceptor cause it has 2 inputs on it.

I plan on converting the boost gauge over to defi setup, fuel pressure, and oil, and go with a turbo xs wideband pro

Wideband is mandatory for serious tuning applications. EGT/pyrometer is also something that you may want to look into. Also all the other standard gauges to monitor engine parameters.

DO NOT waste your money on those stupid light show A/F gauges....

I'm with you. DEFI Blue Racer Boost, Oil Pressure, and EGT Gauges for me though. Still trying to pick out my wideband...

Yeah not to bad a set up but I would run the wideband into the interceptor personally and then go with a oil pressure or EGT.

There are 2 5v inputs on the back of the interceptor gauge. You just need to run the 5v output from your wideband to it. Now I dont run a interceptor but I know a few that do. Personally I like to know how much oil pressure I have cause low oil pressure can mean bad things will happen. EGT you can also tell how the vehicle is running as well. I guess Im used to using EGT on a 2 stroke or deisel but it still can apply here.

so your saying get the aem wideband aeroforce guage stock ss/sc boost and get an oil pressure guage with a 3 pod mount where would i put the wideband or when you say you can wire it to the aeroforce does that mean it will show you on the aeroforce what the wideband is reading

You could get pods to fit your gauge cluster surround to hold extra gauges. I don't know if anyone make makes that but you could fab one up with fiber glass real easy.

As for the interceptor I think there is an input on the back.

yes you can run the wideband into the interceptor. You dont have to get oil pressure that is up to you what you want.

So, if I did this. (sorry, I'm new to wide bands). Which gauge is best? Do I have to buy the gauge (That I'm not going to use) or can I just buy the sensor? (Thing that goes into 2nd O2 bung, called a what?) I just connect to the analog input on the interceptor and be done?

Thanx

Apparently all you need is the wideband oxygen sensor, and run it into the interceptor gauge to monitor AFR. (This sounds pretty good to me, since the interceptor serves other functions as well)

EGT/pyrometer allows you to know your exaust temps (derr..). With it you can determine lean/rich conditions as well. Coupled with the wideband, it will allow you to make adjustments to your fuel/timing more precisely, to enhance engine performance.

Ok, wideband is on the wish list. I want to buy the sensor and run it through the interceptor, where do I buy just the sensor (If I can) and which is the best/cheapest?

Thanx
