Disturbing trend I've noticed

Well I've been here 2 months now and I've noticed something. Each type of Cobalt owner
goes after the other types of Cobalts out there. True its not everyone but a good number of you just don't seem like your happy unless your bashing another Cobalt owner for the trim level of car they own. I have to ask you all....What the heck is up with that? I mean come on all of our cars rolled down the same assembly line when they were built. All of our cars are the same with just a few differences so why all the hate? I swear I never would have thought all the argueing and flaming over what you have under the hood could exist in a group that owns the same car. My 2.0 is better then the 2.4, my 2.4 is better then the 2.2, my 2.2 with a turbo can take you both. Seriously what is this a "my dick is bigger then yours" contest? Give me a freaking break! I got news for you we all have 4cylinders and are considered turds by the whole damn sport compact scene so stop the I'm better then you arguments cause you sound like little kids bickering.

I'm not doing this to start a flame war rather to try and calm them down cause in almost every post I've been in today its going on.

Each of our cars is a Cobalt even though they may differ in options. Mine is a 2.4 sedan, yup a 4 door SS (gasp! horror of horrors a 4door dares to have an SS badge?) Yup I dare.
I bought the sedan cause I have 2 kids ages 10 and 14 and asking 2 girls to climb in and out of a back seat while they are all dressed up just doesn't seem fair to me. So when I got my Cobalt I ordered a sedan. I wanted the bigger engine and the 4 wheel discs so I ordered the SS package. Does it being a 2.4 sedan make it any less of an SS? No silly it says it is right on the doors and the trunk lid! Whats under the hood DOES NOT MAKE AN SS! Super Sport is a TRIM LEVEL package. Sure they build a supercharged SS and look on the trunk lid and it says "SUPERCHARGED" TA DA! Theres your special recognition for having a superchaged engine. NOT THE SS.

My mom has the 2.2 sedan and its a damn nice car too. Hers gets better gas milage then mine does and is less expensive to buy, mantain and drive. If you can aford a SS whatever GREAT good for us! But unless you want to help all the non SS people afford one then stop bashing them!

In the end we all own Cobalts regardless of trim or engine size so stop flaming each others cars casue its lame.

end rant

I have nothing against any trim level, I just don't care. What I care about is the person. Period!

i cant really think of anything to add except i completely agree. we all drive a cobalt, embrace each other. then take pics and send to me...wait...ignore that last part.

anyway, jack, you seem like a level headed guy who is confused as to why all the fighting within the family takes place. i am right there with you bro.

to sum it all up...what he said!

As a 2.2 owner I just want to say the cobalt is awesome. Period. Personally I dont want to race cobalts. Same car doesnt matter to me. I want to kill civics with their fartcans etc etc...Granted I dont really race all that much but still.

I agree, to me it doesn't matter the trim, my daughter actually considers the Cobalt family like this:

Base Cobalt the baby brother, Lx (x is a placeholder) the youger brother, SS the teenage brother, and the SS Supercharged the Oldest or more mature brother. Of course that is no indication of the actual driver, but I thought it was kinda cute.

By the way I have the SS Supercharged and I too have two daughters, they don't mind at all getting in and out of the 2 Dr SS, they love the car.

That is cute. No the reason is my oldest daughter is in modeling class and getting in and out in heels and a skirt can be trickie. The 4 door just makes life simpiler for us is all.
