more clicking, new hint.

when im going about 12-15 mph i hear this terrible grinding/clicking sound. also when i turn slow and hit the brakes. when im turing and hitting the brakes there is no grinding, only one or two clicks. this problem needs to be fixed. i think it is progressivly getting worse. please help.

The clicks could be your springs. How long ago did you install them?

no its not the springs, but it didnt do it until i put them on, but ive checked those and they are tight, plus the springs wouldnt grind and pop at 12mph

strut mounts, mine went on me a couple months back. when i would turn the wheel going real slow, it would sound like springs being plucked and going "boing" "ping" etc, and new mounts, no noise.

No, but they would when you turn, mine do. It's because the travel in the stock dampeners is too long for the height of the springs. I didn't even need to use a compressor when install the springs, so there is not a lot of pressure holding them when you turn.

ok, i bled the brake line and cleaned off the pads. this took car of the grinding noise and some of the click (so far). but i still get some when i turn sharper. hey blackyK, what strut mounts did you get, and where did you get them from.

OK i have another idea....i've never taken the brakes apart on my car so i don't know it these are there but do they have the thin metal slides that rest betwen the vracket and the top and bottom of the brake pads? if they are there see if that's rubbing. when you turn the wheel you're putting lateral pressure on the wheels and braking system so it may be moving the rotors side to side just enough to make comtact with them. just another thought.

Mine's at the dealership right now for the same problem. Alot of us have had the transaxle and half shafts replaced for the same clicking sound.
