Tinting the Rear?

So on the back window there is the defrost strips. Can you tint over those or will that mess with the defrost and not allow the tint to stay when you turn them on. I live in Alaska so I use the rear defrost alot. Just hit me back, Later.

The defrosters will still work if you have tint, its just if u take the tint off it might rip off the defroster strips

you can definately tint over them! i've done it many times! i would actually recomment reding around with the defrostes on for several days after you get the windows tinted weather you need it or not. it will help dry the glue and make it stick better.

My tint shop said dont use defroster for 2-3 days. I never use it now anyways with 5% you cant see much anyways.

And if you rip of the defrost strips they're pretty easy to repair

I paid 230 bucks for 5% back three, 20% front two(pretty dark IMO) and a 5% tint strip and there was no need for the vinyl on the back window, it came out quite nice. By the way, you should be just fine using the rear defroster after a couple days. I've been using mine with no problems.
