That is a sweet car. I test drove one two weeks ago and I loved it. I would have bought it, but the dealer was trying to low-ball me 3-4K on my trade-in, so I will have to wait until the initial hype blows over to find a good deal on one.

LOL, J/K!!!!

I'm looking to replace my Sunfire with a new car considering getting a Redline(found one with 15 miles on it, $18k loaded with perf pkg
But this and the Mazda speed 6 are in the running, I like the turbo engine for sure and the wagon design would help me use it for work

Well if you do get the 3, your fist mod should be a new turbo man and tuning (if it's out yet). I heard it's insanely small.

first have to see if I like the car, lol

if so first thing to go on is intake and exhaust

tuning wont be around for a little while...

and the turbo can stay stock for a while...a little while, lol

Supposed to be a nice car just not a fan of the looks myself. Keep us updated as to how it feels compaired to the Balt.

Have fun!

I had a 79 malibu wagon with white wall tires and hub caps, it was ugly brown and looked like a turd. But it had a 383 stroker under the hood sending almost 400 HP to those rear white walls via a 3.42 posi rear. Your preaching to the choir about having fun with a sleeper station wagon my friend!

The more I read about the new MS3 the more I relize that it was over-hyped. But then again when it comes to cars like these it's no suprise.

- The engine tune is about as agressive as the tiny turbo can handle
- It lacks the handling that was originally stated by Mazda

Sorry for the slight flame but some posters here made this thing sound so awesome like anyone with a SS/SC will get smoked but now here it is...... Another slow wagon

Not this SS/SC!

I hear you man. I'm curious to hear what SS SC thinks about it. He'll be real with us.

As for turbo being small stock, yes it is, but the srt turbo is a very common swap out and you don't hear any of them complaining about a small stock turbo. Check this link out below, seems like there are already turbo upgrades on the way.

http://www.atpturbo.com/

CP-E is also working on a front mount intercooler and one member dropped his car off for an extended stay at Bell Labs (aka Corky Bell-Maximum Boost).

As for tuning, well.............the link below explains it all.

http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31522

Basically, Cobb already bought an MS3 and they are in the process of breaking it in before they dyno and begin work on AcessPort.

ok, just finished, sitting in starbucks having a java, catching up on work quick report....
Its quick, not as fast as a stock SRT or SS/SC until 3k on the tach then hold on!

car feels heavy, but quiet and planted, gearbox is nice 6spd!
handles nice, seats are GREAT! like a cross between recaro's and srt seats

Xenons and rain sensing wipers, sirius, loaded car, NO moonroof! Bracing is under the floor and in the roof so no room for sunroof

I took pics on my celphone will upload them and post them when I get a minute!
