air intake and exhaust question

whats up guys? i just got my cobalt in aug. im not looking to do anything crazy in it but just a few mods here and there. i got an autotranny and was wondering what airintake/exhaust combo i could get...if any. im asking cause i knew a guy that had an automatic honda and he put an exhaust and cold air intake and his ratios were all fucked up. im not dumb, i do know some stuff about cars, its just i never tried to mod an automatic before. thanks for the help

Intake and exhaust can be done just as easily as a manual.

The only way I can see that happening is if the Honda had a CVT (continuously Variable Transmission). They're completely different technology from a conventional automatic.

I have a GMPP intake on my 2.4 auto with absolutely no ill effect. I will soon have a Magnaflow exhaust.

You will be fine as long as you stick with intakes and exhausts that have been effective. Search the board for other input.

GMPP Intake or the Injen Intake (GMPP holds warranty, Injen goes SRI/CAI)

As for the Exhaust system, GMPP would be nice (I have it, and it sounds nice) or Corsa/Borla, but those can be expensive.
