Dude that sucks. Unfortunatly i've never heard of a reducer or expander (?) for tranny cooler lines. I hope you find something for it.
And don't listen to hack, duct tape will fail. Use J.B. WELD and a CRAP LOAD of LOCTITE.
Actually thinking about it (if you never want to get the lines off again) you can fill in the "void" space with J.B. Weld and it'll never leak or move for that matter.

brand new raidiator im not doing it....... can somone with a 2.2 auto do me a fav...... look at the lines for the tranny cooler.... on the backside of the raidiator on the drivers side, the steel lines..... is there a huge ass washer like the size of a silver dollar, and rlly thin on your raidiator where the lines connect?
When you opened the box are you sure the fittings didn't fall out? Aftermarket radiators usually come with any adapters you would need. sometimes they are taped to the inside of the box. I haven't really looked, but there might be reducers in your old radiator that you can remove and use in your new radiator. I know it dosn't help tonight but look in the phone book and find a radiator shop or Possibly a NAPA store in your area and see if they have what you need. I don't think you will find adapters anywhere else. The place you bought it from should have them too. A GM dealer woud not have them because the OEM radiator would come with them.
As a temperary fix you can push the nuts on the trans lines back, (don't put the hose over the fittings because they will leak) and hook the two lines together with a short piece of hose (a strong hose like fuel line) and hose clamps. Be sure to clamp them, there is a lot of preasure in the lines. You could also tear the plastic tank off the old radiator and hook the lines back to that. The cooler is just a big tube inside the tank. I don't know if any of this makes sense but it might get you by till you get the parts you need.

I guess I didn't read too close, it's past this old mans bed time! You have an OEM radiator? Was It a GM dealer you bought it from? If it is OEM it should fit without any adapters. I am a little confused as I have put in 2 GM Cobalt radiators with no problem.

When I replaced the radiator in my neon the tranny cooler lines were a TIGHT fit, a lil bit of elbow grease and some lube later they were on. Just as a note I got new unbent line from Autozone because I had to cut the old lines since they were seized on.

It would look like a small radiator and mount in front of the AC condensor. The rad won't leak through the holes for the lines but you should plug the with something. I think this would be the fastest way to get your car on the road. I will check the price and avalability of a GM radiator today. Ican get it for 15% over cost if that would help you. I would think probably Monday or Tuesday would be the earliest you could get one though. I don't think any dealers will stock one. Iwill try to post the price at lunch time.

I am sure I have removed a Cobalt radiator with threaded fittings, Thats why I was surprised today when I looked at two that had quick connect fittings. Must be a change on newer cars I guess.
