There's a thread out there with a sound clip provided from GM with stock, touring then performance. look for that it's very helpful and a good clip.

oh. yeah i've been readin up on this as well. i'm stock for now but want to get one. most people have touring and say that it's better. it is more expensive though but they say it's better.

I'm not saying it's better, but most say they love the sound of touring better than performance. touring seems to be a lower tone, however in the clip, i like both and since performance is cheaper i'm leanin that way.

well if you have any future turbo plans i suggest you hold off and get the turbo first anf then consider an exhaust system from hahn that is 3" all the way through....

yea i dont have any plans to turbo. just want a little more performance if possible, but mainly for sound and looks. i think ill go with the performance. think straight cut will look good with my 2.4? the stock is angled i think and it does flow pretty good so im not sure.

Yeah no bigger than 2.5 for sure!! and u dont even have the SS/SC/. Now I heard more people with the performance than the touring to be honest. But overall people seem to all love their GMPP catback, so I dont know!! looks like u cant loose either way. Myself, they are the same performance wise, I would save $$ and get performance

loose way to much back pressure with the 3". Less back pressure means less power down low. Even a 2.5 is a little big for the 2.2. The 2.4, i would go 2.25 or 2.5 but nothing bigger or smaller!!

I am wondering why the part is sooo much more expensive out of the dealership, then just buying it online....Will they charge more if you bring it in, and have them install it for labor?

I wouldnt imagine so.Usually they have a standard rate for work on your car, so it cant take longer than a hour to install a catback. If you would get the part at your local dealer, they would maybe give you a break on the install, but usually they wont!

I just purchased the GMPP touring exhaust and it is the bomb! I love the sound and my car seems much faster! Only 45.00 to install at the dealership too! Will getting a new manifold change things too just wondering?
