People with the GMPP performance exhaust. At high speeds like free way driving is the sound of the exhaust to high and irratating in side the cab? For the ehaust tip that you have to buy seperatly , how did you install it . weld on or muffler clamp?

The sound at highway speeds is surprisingly low -- not obnoxious at all. Remember, it comes with a resonator that smooths out the sound. It's loud when you want it to be and fairly quiet when you don't want to be heard -- GM designed it to meet sound requirements. Get it - you won't be disappointed!

I used the angle cut tip and put it on with the clamp that it came with. I tried aftermarket tips before buying the GM tip -- just go with the GM tip as it is made for it -- and the fit and finish are far better than any aftermarket tip I could find.

haha comming from the guy that was saying to get performance, I ordered the touring this week and should get the manifold and catback mid-next week!! SSSOOO looking forward. It came down to the sound levels and a little reading on how exhaust sound work. Made me realize the touring could be jsut as performant as the performance with less noise!... It never made sense to me till then. I guess I still have some to learn

this might be a stupid question, (cartmen, there is no suck thing as a stupid question, only stupid people) do you get to keep your stock exhaust when the dealer instals the GMPP exhaust?

I was like you. I was debating which one I wanted. I flopped back and forth every 2 weeks. I was almost going to lock my mind in on the tourning. I have since changed my mind and I want the performance. Now I just have to save money to get the exhaust before I change my mind again.

I loved the roar that performance had but I liked the low rumble of touring. After listening to all of the clips that I could find of eveyones exhaust, I really feel in love with performance. Now I could end up changing my mind if I don't get the performance sometime soon.

After listening to the clips a few times ( like twenty ). I made my choice to go with touring. Performance just sounds like the engin is hyper active or something. I like the deeper sound.

It turnt out great. I love the touring. Some might be a little more performant, but loud is an issue for me. This is DEEP, quality, and cheap. Same gains as performance, but in a quieter package (low RPM) and loud deep sound (full throttle).

And yes you can keep you exhaust when GM changes it. They have to cut it at one area, but yeah its all good!! unless u dont want it, then u can keep it there, I would suggest you to keep it!

Yes you can keep it. It's not warranty work, so you are entitled to all of your parts.
