I have never liked magnaflow. I always thought of them as sounding terrible. That sound clip reassures myself that I would never own a magnaflow exhaust. Sounds like crap. I will stick with my stock exhaust for now, sounds way better.

sounds like something a 16 yr old would like. I wouldn't be caught dead in a car that sounded like that.

Sounds fairly decent for a 4 banger. It's not too ricey but I'm used to that V8 roar, so I may be a little baised.

BTW the $720 they're charging for that, I think you can do a WAY better custom setup. Maybe even a couple custom setups to really get the sound you're lookin for if the first try wasn't satifactory.

I asked this before and I will ask it again until I get an nswer. Is there a company that makes exhaust systems for our car, or are going to make, that sound like the the exhaust's on the wrx's ???? I like that low yet CLEAN rumble that the wrx's exhaust gives off.

go buy a wrx resonator and muffler and have it fitted to your car then. i'm sure it wouldn't be that hard

It will be hard to replicate the WRX sound. Boxer engines have a unique ehaust note to them unlike in-line 4 bangers. However, if someone can achive it, then let the rest of us know.

With respect to the Magnaflow clips, I kind of liked that exhaust note. The only problem I have is it's only a sound clip. I would like to hear it in person to really get a feel for it. Also, if anyone is considering a header, the exhaust note will only get lounder so I trust a larger resonator would be in order.

I'd like something with a deeper tone or rumble

My biggest problem with looking into an exhaust system is the amount of noise all of them will generate. I know that by straightening out the pipe and muffler you're going to get increased noise but there's gotta be something they can do to at least flatten it out or muffle it a little bit more . I really wanted to change the exhaust mainly for the power output (I don't like the huge tips either, prefer my chome tipped right now ) but if I'm continually disappointed with the sounds of them I'll be going the same path as Mercury and just keeping the stock exhaust. I don't really mind the sound of the Magnaflow in the sound clips so much, but I can guarantee once you get it on your car it's going to be a hell of a lot louder.

I do NOT want my car sounding like a tank rolling down the street or be deafened by the sound of it inside the cab. I'm trying to keep the car somewhat quiet as I plan my modifications...no point in tipping off the cops that there may be more under my hood than what comes stock when it's all said and done .

Good point I want my car to be all enginemostly but if I can find a nice clean exhaust then I waould consider. the next big step for me is a smaller pulley. Question: is GREDDY making an exhaust that anyone knows of? Everyone at my work was telling me to look into a GREDDY for a nice sound and performance. If not oh well. we also need more sound bytes of peoples exaust's after they are done. Zinner had one but I am having trouble downloading it.
