Oil Life??

Oil Life??

Ok hey all, I have a cobalt ss/sc and checked my oil life and it sais 9% or some **** like that but i got two oil changes already and just got my 2nd one here last week....I have 5,550 miles on my car and i dont know why it still sais 9% if i got my damn oil changed???

so anyone help me out here

WHo ever did your oil change didnt reset your oil life guage.

its easy to do... ignition on, hold both dic buttons, then scroll thru til you see reset oil life

check your manual, there is a little process to reset the service indicator

9%??????????????!!!!!!!! Pretty much your car is going to blow up. Its full of sludge, all the pistons are going to fly out.. be careful

lol just reset your oil gauge as the man a couple posts b4 me stated...i've noticed that bout 50% of mechanics forget to do this :-( ( i forgot a couple times myself when servicing cars back when i lived in north cali

Yes, and aliens can read your mind unless you wear a tinfoil hat. I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic. I'm just playing along.

Like someone else has said, just reset your oil meter per the manual. It won't be off much more than a few percent since you just got an oil change recently.
