somewhere under my hood...near the front near the intake, under some wires (which have random pieces of black tape and masking tape? wtf?) i hear a rattling noise. not sure if its new. but its kinda annoying. you can really only hear it if ur outside next to the car, but it sounds like something is rubbing. i have a 2.4.

any one else have something like this?

 

My car makes a wierd noise too. It sounds like chains dragging on the ground. Comes from the engine at 2000rpm-2300rpm and 3500-4000 and I have no idea what it is. And it doesn't do it all the time....? That like yours?

 

mine happens at idle just like whenever its running.sounds like if my car had metal teeth. and they were chattering lol

i might put the engine cover back on. its kinda annoying.

 

We have that sound up here all the time. Not the same problem. Ours is from Snow Chains!!!

 

yea when my car is sitting at idle it puts off a funny kinda clicking noise mines also a 2.4

 

i just checked my bros firebird. his does the same thing. i guess its just crappy gm quality lol. i thought maybe i installed my intake wrong. i hopes its just some things hitting each other and not serious.
