Are these sway bars made for the 2.0 cobalt? For 225, they aren't a bad deal. Anyone have any input?

If so, I'd contact either gravana or Suspension Technique to know for sure. However, I'm pretty sure that most of the stuff out there are interchangable between the model levels.

I would think they do, but call and double check. They do come up when doing a search on our cars.

I think someone covered this before, the bars are actually smaller than stock on the 2.0 SS/SC so there wouldn't really be a benefit to them. You want to go larger on sway bars.

The only model that those would upgrade to a larger dia. bar would be the 2.2. Even on the 2.4, the front would stay the same size and the rear would be smaller.

Wait for something 2.0-specific. No sense in spending money on something that's worse than what's on the car.

Not sure. For me personally, I wouldn't waste money on ANYTHING smaller. But then again for what I bought the car for, I want top-of-the-line handling so I want larger AND more rigid.

That being said, you MIGHT get away with smaller but stiffer bars and just a minor improvement in handling. Depends on personal preference, but you definitely wouldn't be getting the most out of the suspension with the smaller bars.

None of the anti sway bars replace the stock bar. It is welded in and not removable. The aftermarket bars add to the original bar, so they will stiffen up the axle and improve handling. This will be true on any model. I think the LT might not have a factory bar, but all others do.

I still say no. Even (and especially) if the stock bar cannot be removed then a smaller bar will not give you any real noticable difference over stock.

exactly...it is worth it to get an aftermarket bar. I wonder about the Progress bar because it has no bushing end links but Dennis has it and stated it is just as good as any other sway bar...I'd get it but I prefer to have a 24mm to match the front. plus i can't afford to lose my warranty...bwock bwock lol

Let me tell you, I installed the Progress rear sway bar (22mm) last night and it's a MASSIVE improvement over stock. I can't believe the change in the ride! Everything feels much stronger and solid, even braking from highspeeds was less nerve wracking.

I can't say enough good things about this. I got mine for $198 CDN ($38 shipping to Canada) off eBay.

Best thing the Cobalt ever had done to it, WOW!
