Smile Need partial VIN from Cobalt SS with G85 package

Hello all,

I'm looking for a partial VIN from some one that has the G85 performance package. I don't need your whole VIN just the 1st part so I can find out the GM part numbers for the LSD and seats.

Do NOT send your whole VIN just the 1st portion related to the build. (Just remove the last 6 digits from the VIN and that will leave just the build information)

Please, Please, please do NOT sent the whole thing. You don't want your VIN cloned.

You can reply to this thread or send me a private message.

Thanks,

Disp507

Anyone can get your VIN number by walking past your car. The auto trader magazines show it all the time. But if it makes you sleep better?

I coverd mine up,

If you know some one at any dealer the VIN is all you need to a new set of key's and drive away with a brand new car,

that simple.

so put a peace of paper over your vin if you car

Part numbers update

Oh so very true...

Update on the parts front....

In case any one was wondering I'm still working on getting the part number(s) for the seats.

A friend of mine, parts manager of a local dealer, called GM to find out the part number and how much and the rep told him they don't have a specific part number for the whole seat assembly. But they could "special" order them. But GM couldn't put a price on them until they shipped them. Sounds like they would have them special built for the order.

My friend seems to think that the Recaro's use the same sub-frame and carriage as the stock seats with just different padding and covers. But he is still researching it. (Part number comparison between a stock seat and the Recaro’s)

More info as it becomes available......
