06 SS/SC Vs RX8

Yesterday I got called back into work at like 6:30pm. So im drivin on the freeway and I see this white RX8, and I havent raced one yet so I wanted to see if he would take the bait. So I pull up next to him, and get a little in front on him so he can see my badges. Then I back down right next to him.....next thing you know, he does the 3 honks, and we both go for it from 80mph, I just the intinial jump on him, i stayed exactly 1 car length in front of him the whole time, he could not gain on me and I could not pull away, i just had a little bit of a jump in the begining. I shut down at 135mph cause I had to pull off, but I was impressed with my car. Being stock and all. Maybe if i had some intake and exhaust i could have pulled from him. I cant wait until I get my stage 2 installed, hehe.

Those cars have an excellent high end, but have little torque to speak of on the low end. Starting from a 65 roll was right in his wheelhouse. Just ask him how well spent his 30k was after racing a 21k cobalt.

Hey guys new to the site and thought I would make my first post lol

Good kill man a buddy of mine has been tryin to sell his RX8 and they are pretty impressive but better at handling than straight up drag racing. Those cars have nothing but top end but the SS makes up for the difference in the mid range.

Good kill, i've been waiting for someone to race one.

But edash, why are you racing in a 30mph zone!? That's a residental limit, and that aint cool.
