Dyno'ed today...

3 pulls, 3rd gear done at Steeda.ca

Max Power: 171.4 @ 6250 rpm
Max Torque: 163.3 @ 4500 rpm

0* of knock

I dont have it scanned yet but will post it up when i do. Great horsepower curve and an nice flat torque curve.

here is the shitty part...the car runs VERY lean averageing 16.09!! with a minimum of 12.42 (at redline) and a maximum of 17.97 (low-mid rpm)!! (the air:fuel was logged with a tailpipe sniffer...the numbers might actually be better....or worse!)

good ol shitty GM calibrations hold true on both the SS/SC and the 2.4 apparently.

There is definatly much to be gained from a good tune just to even out the air:fuel

Overall im impressed with just an intake an exhaust on this car.

Did you happan to get a dyno while you were stock to see how much these mods really helped?

It's not unusual to see your a/f ratio go upwards of 17 a/f on any car during normal driving operation. Heck, you could sometimes see upwards of 20 a/f when you release off the throttle...won't hurt anything really, your engine isn't put under alot of stress, so fuel isn't really needed to a degree.

I thought to 2.4 was rated at like 160+ stock? Anyway, if other 2.4ers are dnyoing @ 140 or so that is some good gain. Congrats.

It's about 171 stock crank horsepower. These are wheel horsepower ratings. Typically they are about 12% loss of power in stock form, less with an upgraded drivetrain system.

mods are in sig...

its a mustang dyno...it was like 2 degrees celsius outside...garage bay door closed

I tried to scan just how bad the air:fuel ratio was but it wasnt coming out good enough...

the car was running 26 degrees of timing with 0 knock.

definitly can see a 180whp beast with 7k rev limiter and tuning for up to 7k RPM.

a good tune clean up the air:fuel, remove any torque managment, and 7k rpm should be good for that much.

a good tune will also even out that torque curve to make it even more flat in the low-mid rpm range.
