Removing STG 2 Pulley

Ok guys i just got my 2.9 and im trying to figure out how to get the damn blue bolts undone. Gimme some info please. Do i need a special tool because i noticed its not a star bolt but its like a phillips at a diagnal. Also how do u loosen the belt. I know the little wedge thing you need to put down on but it never seems to grip very good. I use a 15mm and it still slips if i dont do it jst right. Even when i get it i can get the belt all the way off. I have no expirence in belt or pulley removal so any help would be great.

Edit:: The parts department was closed today so i wasnt able to see if they had my pulley tool. If there any other effective ways to get he bolts loose besides vice ggrips because i already failed in that attempt

there should be a special key for the bolts that come with the stage kit for the 5 bolts that hold the pulley to the hub

all you need to do is loosen the 4 bolts that hold the pulley to the hub.....use a 15mm open end wrench and push down on the belt tensioner, remove the belt...finish taking the bolts out that hold the pulley to the hub, remove pulley........however without the gm bit to remove the hub bolts, you're out of luck....

lol its easy to get that **** off. I've changed mine a few times now. The tool that you need to remove this should of came with the kit. If you don't have it check with the place that installed it. If they don't have find someone who has stage 2. its a crappy pic but here theres not much to the removal and install just like anything else unscrew it, loosen with belt, pull off the pulley, new one slides on try to line up the holes, screw it in, slide the belt back over, retighten with belt on. Enjoy

you sound like you dont know much about cars, id let someone else swap your pulley for you... chances are that 2.9" pulley wont fit on the gm hub anyways

**** u dude a 2.7 will fit so i dont think you know that muchh. Why does everyone always complain on this website now. If someone asks you a question you answer it...you dont give him random info thats going to **** him off like. How are u going to tell me i dont know what im doing because i dont have a certain tool and and asking you guys if theres another way.

Yes it is a 2.9 and it does fit the hub...Im really starting to get frustrated because i got the stage 2 installed a couple months ago and there no way the dealer is going to have that tool still. The shop was a mess. Everyone else i kno of around here never got stage 2 they just skipped the warranty and went for alot more power.

are you sayin a 2.7 will fit teh gm stage 2 hub, if so, what brand of pulley is that?
also, the dealer may actually have the tools needed to remove the pulley, they broke one of my bits when they did the install, i freaked and they said they have the tools needed to remove it if i wanted to.

you are clueless, just stop what your doing now and X your s/n from this site. first off for the GM stage 2 pulley you need a new pressed on hub. they dont make a 2.9" pulley that mates with the gm stage 2 hub. i have seen a 2.8" pulley but im sure that the 2.9" pulley your talking about will not fit your new gm stage 2 hub. once again LEAVE THIS SITE, buddy i actually installed my gm stage 2 kit.. why b/c im not a moron like you
