Front suspension clunk and lowering springs

I've had the infamous front suspension clunk in my steering that has been fixed numerous times and keeps coming back.. I'm wondering who has this problem and has lowered there car. I really want to lower my car but don't want the problem to get worse? Anybody with experience with this?

you havent lowered your car yet... just lower it and get it over with you will love the look and feel of a lowered car.

when i go over bumps every once in a while theres like a thud in my steering, i've had the dealer replaced so many things in my car to fix it and they finally fixed it but it came back a few months later... I just figure i've had this thump ever since i bought the car i mine as well live with it cause it's not going anywhere. I'm sick of bringing it to the dealer.
