Engine mounts, Transmission mouns and Traction bars.

For those of you with Transmission and/or Engine mounts, I hear alot of people say they have alot of vibrations, how bad are the vibrations and how much more do u feel them and how could you describe them?

Also what other suspension mods would be ideal to use with the Bwoody Traction bars, because i've heard some say that without CAB's your stock ones will be toast with the traction bars?

Thanks for any help guys.

i have a hard poly mount (JBP) and i barely get any vibration at all...the only vibration i get is on acceleration from a dead stop and it isnt even bad. This mount is worth its weight in gold...

personally i like my cars to have some vibrations to them, otherwise the car is so dead feeling..have to look at the tach just to know its still running.

i say this because im coming from a 88 5.0 which vibrated a lot..so...

its all personal opinion...do you want a eruopean style ride with zero vibration...or a tough feeling car with vibes

i helped black06ss install all the harder mounts on his car, and the vibration increases dramatically. he does not drive as much as i do so he doesnt mind, but i would not install them on a daily driver

I drive about 100 miles a day to-from work, and the motor mount was enough to make the car sound like a cheap honda. It makes everything rattle and sqweak. The best way i can put it is it just makes the car sound cheap.

i dont know if i would say cheap, but def. more like a race car than a daily driver. but the benefits performance wise can not be matched

I'll try to do a comparison on video. I'm gonna install the ZZP Billet/Urethane trans mounts tomorrow after work.

I got the zzp engine mount and ingalls torque dampener. and well... I overkilled on the wheel hop mods i think. I get enough vibration to get girls happy...

But it has slowly and surely stopped being so bad, and I love the feeling of it when I accelerate. haha it feels like it has like 300 hp

I just got back from my test drive with the ZZP Billet/Urethane trans mounts. Here is a quiz to determine if you should get the mounts or not:

1.) Do you like listening to the radio?

2.) Do you like talking to your passenger(s)?

3.) Do you keep loose change in your cup holders?

4.) Do like to drive without having an orgasm?

If you answered yes to any of these questions I strongly advise you to not buy these.

Actually I might keep these in for this weekend to help me out on some dates. A couple trips around the block and the oven should be all preped and ready.

Do you have the trans mounts also or just the motor mount. If you don't mind the vibration I would try those. They virtually eliminated the wheel hop by themselves.

If you don't mind drilling a 5/8" hole in your control arms you could get the BWoody traction bars.

The 7 speaker stock system will take care of the extra noise as for the vibration just play it off as extra bass.

About 2 weeks or less depending on how much you drive.

I bought mine used. They have been driven on for a month supposedly. Still too harsh for me.

Yeah they are the ones from Intense. Cobalt Supercharge put that Pioneer system to work, so you don't have to hear the rattling.

I'll have to tomorrow. I installed them tonight and I want to at least get a couple passes at the track before I pull them back off. I might keep them and swap them everytime I go to the track which isn't very often.

Install is pretty easy all you need is a jack, acouple socket and a rachet, a vise, and lube. About an hour for a nooby

It's not too bad actually. It only took me about an hour or so. Most of which was trying to find the right tools and having to lift the car higher to get to the rear mount. I used the How-to guide on here as a reference, but I didn't have the insert I had the full mounts. I also didn't remove the entire rear bracket so I didn't remove the clip for the rear O2 sensor.
