GM Stage 3 Install Questions

I apologize if this has been covered, I searched and got no result.

1. Has anybody purchased the Stage 3 kit yet?
2. If so, did the install take longer due to the intercooler end-plate?
3. Also, after everything was bought/shipped/installed, how much did it cost total?

Thanks in advance.

Stage 3 is like a stock-market right now.. its all over, people's questions are everywhere, its chaotic.. you need S2 to have S3.. you need S1 to have S2 and S1&S2 to have S3.. lol..

visit here.. it'll show you all..

here's the thread that was started about S3 straight from Crate Engine Depot.. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ighlight=stage

and here are the instructions using PDF format..

hope this helps you out a little bit..

Thanks for that reply bro. Pretty much answered all my questions. I honestly didn't know you had to have Stage 2 to go to 3. That kinda puts a rain on my parade.

The PCM is more for the Adjustable rev limiter and the 100 Octane Fuel mode, in my eyes. You get about 15 more horse with 100 Octane mode!

I've yet to see any intense kits alone put down close to 260 WHP. This kits blow the intense away, and doesn't blow up your car.

I put down 262hp with Stage 4 with intake and cat-back. Pretty much just the kit alone.

enough said.. no one with a gm stage kit and tune has reported a blown motor.. everyone with intense or custom tunes has. i'm suprised no one has realized this yet. who cares if someone else makes 10 or 15 more hp.. i'd much rather not have the extra hp and know that my care is safe to run everyday.

And with the prices that Crateenginedepopt is offering... the whole Stage 3 kit costs just as much as only getting the Intercooler plate and PCM. So there is no advantage to getting them separate.

Ferrari is way better too ! But that's life.

Haha, Just playing. I do wish Gm would release a stage kit with some SERIOUS HP. Like a Whipple Swap or something. But my friend with Mopar Stage 3 said it is NOT WARRANTIED. SO that sucks.

If we were to keep the Stage 3 pcm in at all times what kind of fuel milage would we be looking at?

Same as Now. The 100Octane Feature is going to be an option you can turn on and off.

No... it's 310 hp Regular... NO TOYS. With the 100octane switch on it's 355 hp at 5200 rpm and 365 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3200–4800 rpm!

Are we going to be able to run the 8000 redline on the stock internals?

NO NO NO NO! You will DEFINITELY have to change out AT LEAST your stock Valve springs to do that. I think they Float at like 7600 RPM.

Questions

1) Is the pulley a 2.9
2) Do you need the bypas in order to run this or can just bu the PCM and a 2.9 pulley and be alright?
3) Whe nthey say a less restrictive exhaust system is requried . Would the GMpp sport or touring work?
