Hptuners

Has anyone used HPtuners with there 2.4. I will be goin to get a 07 2.4 and im curois bout the tune as well as kenny from cobalt addiction. he already has tuned many 2.0's but hasnt tune a 2.4. if someone could explain a lil i can send him some info or one of u guys could send me a tune im sure he could get a idea for my car. if any autos have a tune..let me know bout it

Just got HPTuners hooked up to mine. There are no boost tables, and there is a VE table for the VVT. I've only toyed with the rev limit (7K), but I'm currently sitting down and reading some books on tuning. Hopefully I can find a tune or two from the archives.

Oh, I also have the fans running sooner than stock to keep the car cooler, I've never seen 200 degrees while running. usually never go over 210 degrees in the coolant when sitting still.

There is a tutorial on the HPT web forum that shows you how to make a typical 2BAR OS for computers that don't come with it stock.

yeah what can u really tune on the auto 2.4? i dont know much about it..just the basics...which is really nothing..lol. thats y im leavin it up to kenny. wut do all these tunes consist of like number wise for the ecu n tcm

Im still in the process of trolling the HPT forums, looking around, getting used to the sotfware. At least I can change the shift light rpm

well one thing can be said for sure...its gonna be hella hard to tune it becuase of the damn vvt...and witht his said i would tune my car with hptuners but hpt is very sophisticated and i doubt im actually smart enough to tune it by myself with no previous knowledge to tuning....

Well, I know there is a very complicated VE formula involved, but what it is, I dont remember right now.
