Question TAG: I have some questions for you...

seeing as you have come in here doing all this work for the ss/sc's...maybe you can pitch in and offer us 2.4's some help....i dont know what you can do for us but....
1. Could you possibly fab us a turbo kit with all the needed parts+tune
or if your feeling really bold...
2. extend the whipple deal to us and fab us up a kit with all needed parts+ tune
....i would and am certain most other 2.4 owners would be very excited if you could make either one of these happen...especially the second seeing as most people say it canr be done as far as tuning goes....
......so how about it TAG---- what can you for us boost hungry SS/NA's?

I think it would be easier for a turbo kit. Then you only have to modify the exhaust side of the head. A FMIC would solve the problem of heat

I see what your saying, but id rather go supercharged, less problems-easier maintenence, and besides, it would be one hell of a challenge that would surely earn props. for whoever could get it to work. You would only have to modify the exhaust side with a turbo, but at the same time you have all that piping and what not plus that intercooler to mount. Now for a supercharger you have the blower/H-E/intercooler/ss-sc intake mani and a few belts and relocated lines. The hardest part with this would be the tune. Im sure if tage could come up with a tune we would be set.

No its not. Its a Lysholm, Whipple used to buy their head units from Lysholm. They were gonna make a blower called the W75AX which is a 1200AX, but they never went forward with production of it Lysholm still makes the 1200AX though.

guys no offense but they are not putting that much R&D into 2.4's because there aren't that many of them out there. There won't be enough people to buy their products.

Mike25, those questions you had were great ones. Starting with the M62 would be fine, but I would be on the same train of thought with you by wanting the twinscrew. Ultimately in your situation, I would rock a turbo instead. Easier to setup and fabricate, once installed properly there is not much maintanence, and it'll put down damn good numbers. I would rock a garrett GT28RS or GT2871R for 350ish whp range, since it has already been proven the stock bottom end can take it. For turbo maintanence, just make sure you get a turbo timer or leave the car running for a few minutes before you shut it off to avoid bearing damage.
