Just curious I am having a hard time getting self tapping sheet metal screws to go through the metal shelf under the Headlight plastic frame. I was curious if there was a better place to mount the ballast

drill a small hole or use a drill to turn the screw faster

I used a large patch of double sided tape and put the driver side ballast above the intake and the passenger side ballast against the "wall" near the window washer fluid. They have been on like that for a couple of months now and are showing no signs of slipping or falling. Just a thought.

my pass side ballast is in between the fender and the wheel well lining and my drivers side is attached to a bolt under the headlight on the front frame of the car lol...its hard to describe accurately and its kinda half assed but they're pretty secure

drill a whole out slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw and that will help it start.

Right under the headlight there is a nut holding something. Just unscrew the nut and put the ballask under the headlight, use the hole that is already there from the bolt and put the bolt back in the hole. The bolt is a perfect fit as well as the space under the head light for the ballask. That is how i did mine.

I actually mounted mine right under the light and found that it lifted the light about a quarter inch from the bumper and now there is a gap. So I have to find another place ASAP I guess its underneath the plastic headlight frame. But the lights are plenty bright.
