I would like to but unfortunately I won't be back from the desert until the end of September. Hopefully you will have another one some time after that and I will be sure to be there.

i live in the hampton roads, but i only drive an arrival blue Cobalt LS, but yea we should try and have all the cobalts hook up, maybe at J and Js Performance or something, im up for anywhere

LilBlueSC and a few other guys are going autocrossing next sunday, 22nd out in Pungo. the site is www.autocross.us So far, I had the best time once and he has the best time last week. The others are a WRX, Evo IX, S2000, Spec-V. There are a few others but they haven't run auto-x yet.

i got my cobalt lt from Marty Amadon@ hampton chevy/mazad.(is this where you work @ adam?) it took him some doing but he got me the cobalt with the features that i wonted! i gave him a list of features that i wanted on my cobalt, 1 of them being fog lights- its a pain in the butt driving on the highway being blinded! fog lights helped out a lot! got a descent deal, wish i would have gotten more for my trade in '02 cav, but i m happy!! :twothumbs :cssNET:

Not sure what tricked out cobalt you're speaking of, can you describe it perhaps? As for the meet, it went well. Doc and I were the only S/C's out there, and there was another cobalt out there from ***************. He was kinda an embarassment though. We pretty much hung out with the three Evo VIIIs that came out, those were just brutal cars. They're all sporting Direct Performance stickers, and they say they're sponsored, though I'm not sure if it's by DP or someone else, Doc would know. A lot of SRT 4's came out, quite a bit of Mustangs, and the Honda guys came out in full force, and by that, I mean in droves. They even did the ricer lineup when they parked, kinda funny. Hopefully we can get a few more Cobalts out there next weekend.

not real sure which way you'll go to get up here....I think its HWY 17...anyway, take that north and then when you hit I-64 go west. Go until you get to Little Creek Road, take that exit. Go right, under the overpass you'll take the right that turns into Taco Bell. The grocery store is directly behind that. You'll find us there usually on Saturday evenings. It can be late, usually 9:45 or later.
If you wanted to come up, we can meet somewhere for dinner before hand then head out.

I would be coming up 158-168. Takes you basically right into chesapeake. It's a hike I know but worth it to meet other people remotely interested in our cars. I believe there are only 2 or 3 ss' running around down here. The other's I believe are SS/SC I have the 2.4 anyway I will start talking to those guys and I think the one is a gal and see if they would be interested in coming up there. Sorry I couldn't be there tonight.....maybe within the next few weeks

Nah, the sherrif didn't show up, but three Norfolk cops made their obligatory rounds. All in all it was pretty cool, pretty funny stuff, especially the stock Mazda 3 that was acting like a mobile club.

About an hour or so away. Yes, it would look good in the group. I think it's settled that we're going on Sunday, I say tell your boss you recquire this day off since you bust your rear(dadgum censor clause) on Saturday nights and such.

my schedule @ walmart is 3 weeks in advance. i have taken off the 7 and 8 of april...im have 5 teeth taken out-rrr. tomorrow im getting my 1ST oil change!-almost @ 3000 miles. i m averageing about 31 mpg-i ve learned to take the interstate more! next friday i get my window tinted-which im really looking forward to! normally when i have of from walmart- i have my 2 sons.( they love my cobalt btw and brag about it to there friends-just hope they dont relise that its not an SS (should have gotten an SS!)

I understand people's timeframes differ, so here is what I propose...We all get in contact with anyone we know that has a cobalt in this area, once we do that, I say the whole group sets up a date, at least 2 weeks in advance, to meet up during the week for a couple of beers/food/meet&greet. Once we can set that up, we can all sit down as one mass and plan for what would most likely be a track day. If you're on cobalt.com, let them know as well. I give such a huge time window because of people's work times. I'm not proposing a day long meet/greet, but like I said, we all can meet up at like a Bennigan's or Hooters or whatever, have some, a couple of drinks if you're allowed, and plan for track days, etc. Yes, I'm kinda Jealous the guys in Az got this down already. why should they have all the fun? Not sure what tricked out cobalt you're speaking of, can you describe it perhaps? As for the meet, it went well. Doc and I were the only S/C's out there, and there was another cobalt out there from ***************. He was kinda an embarassment though. We pretty much hung out with the three Evo VIIIs that came out, those were just brutal cars. They're all sporting Direct Performance stickers, and they say they're sponsored, though I'm not sure if it's by DP or someone else, Doc would know. A lot of SRT 4's came out, quite a bit of Mustangs, and the Honda guys came out in full force, and by that, I mean in droves. They even did the ricer lineup when they parked, kinda funny. Hopefully we can get a few more Cobalts out there next weekend.

Welcome to the board brother...Most of the problems you're reading about occur in the 05 models, no worries if you have an 06. To my knowledge, you have the only silver one on our side of the water(I live in Hampton, drive a black s/c...IRISHSS on the plates). Hang out, have fun, stay a while and we'll see you at some meets in the near future I hope

Have any of you guys been to wheels next lately cause I have a base cobalt and I'm going to order speedy Race Mode rims and tires with free shipping. Im trying to see what they say about a group buy. I also want feed back an them. Oh almost forgot they offer military discount. I don't know how much though.

Dude i lucked out i saw on the forms it was out so the next day i went in and mine was the last order to go threw befor the B/O.. so i extremely lucked out.... and go it n 1 week... there saying a 1 month back order now...

OO..... it took a min becasue we had to take the supercharger off so we could use the hydralic jack... to take the pull off that was the most time consuming part all n all it took about 2.5 hrs...
but im sure we could do it n 1.5
the reflash only takes about 15 mins the injectors take about 15 mins...

I think I am taking a pulley puller with me ;)

The only problem is u cant get the reflash u have to go to the dealer to get it..
Man its worth paying 90 dollars for the dealer to do it trust me..
