You realize doing this will completely **** up your airbag system and throw your bcm into a hissy fit.

Just add two little red buttons on your steering wheel for your NOS MAN

Tampering with the safety equipment of the car is NOT something you should do.

Unfortunately, it may possibly be illegal. It could also open you to liability if you ever sell the car, and no dealer in his right mind would want to touch it for the same liability problems....so you are talking about big money (in hidden costs) to replace that steering wheel. It is not worth it in any measure.

And why would this be? And why wouldnt the dealership fix it? (especially because they could be sued if something happened) And hidden costs?

I'm thinking you should smash your car into a buddies, sue the dealership, and then break your buddy off some of your new found change for assisting you.

I have a feeling hes the one that broke it, took it to the dealer, they said no warranty so he said "whatever" and drove off (the dealership pointing and laughing as he drove off too) and then comes up with this story.

no chevy first sent me a letter when i got the car saying that the dual stage airbag module on the car may go bad and they had to replace it, so i brought it up and they replaced it. after when my airbag light came back on i went back up and they said theres nothing they can do about it without charging me, so if i get into an accident gm will def. be hearin from me. a, i have gap so im not worried about totaling the thing. b, the reason the 7g's in hidden fees is because all my door panels, dash board and center console have been brought to a shop and resprayed black. also the back thing over the rear speakers has been re-faricated black.

so when my lease is up on march 31 ,2009, they can get it back with all the elecrtical problems they dont wanna fix lol. **** em. ill just bring the obd2 colde thing with me and clear them in the parking lot.

You put $7K of extra junk into a leased car?

Well, since you don't technically own the car, you should not be doing any mods to it.

Are you sure your lease agreement is not going to demand you return everything to stock when the lease term is up?

...and...now you want to do the steering wheel?

Take your money, and put it somewhere OTHER than your leased car. Prepare for your next car when this lease is up.

Financially...this is a mess...
