Koni Shocks coming out!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Koni will be releasing a set of shocks for the SS at the beginning of Feb. The PNs are:

8641-1500Sport for the Front
8040-1369Sport for the Rear

I will be buying a set of these for Auto-X.

Will these help absorb the shock alittle bit better since I have H&R lowering springs right now.

anyone know if the suspension is the same on base models and if these would work for them as well. I know a lot of us have been looking for some new shocks with the lowered suspension

Koni's tend to be a little stiffer than the stock struts/shocks so I doubt it mike. But who knows.

I'm guessing you've never owned them...first they are adjustible, so if you want them stiff you can have them...or you can have them ride like an old Cadillac. Of course lowering on stock struts is always a good option too...

they are no where near what stock is...I had them on my Cavalier, lowered 2.25 inches and I could drive as if my car was stock...I would recommend them to anyone who is lowering their car. If i decide to lower it again...I'll be getting these for sure...

Yes the fronts are inserts, the rears are swap outs. Yes, the prices are on the Koni website. Yes, they are fully adjustable. Looks like the fronts will actually be easier to adjust then the rears. Guess we'll see.

Ahhhhh finally they come out. I saw a pair of them on a WRX last Autocross season and said "man, I need those".

Not THAT bad a price... seeing as stock struts are almost $100 a piece.

Add these to my "wish list"

yep, Koni's are pricey.... If you ever owned a set, you would understand that they are worth every penny. I had a set on my race prepped 944.... if they are like the older ones, you pop the hood turn a knob and adjust... the rears have to be accessed from underneath the car (pain in the butt).
A great performance shock ...if thats what you want!

Koni's are well worth the money. I had the Reds on my Z24 that had Sportlines and it smoothed everything out so much and just gave the car a great performance suspension overall feel.

If you go on the Koni website, you can actually see the install instructions for the fronts and the adjustments for front and rear..

Now that they have developed the shocks/struts, I can't imagine the coilovers are far behind.
