Koni Shocks coming out!!
Neither the front or the rear Koni is "fully adjustable". The front has a knob to adjust the ride quality, the rear is rebound adjustable only. You have to butcher your front shock to install the Koni strut and you have to completely remove the rear shocks every time you want to adjust them.
What the ****? Two years effort and this is the best they can come up with? Sorry, Koni. That's not near good enough for MY car. Isn't this the same exact thing they came up with for the Cavalier? Did it take them two years to figure out if the Cav's shocks would fit the Cobalt? This is a bodge job pure and simple. I fail to understand what is so goddamned arcane about the FE3 that they can't improve on it. Get out yer hacksaws, boys, there's Konis about!

Eibach and agx are an awesome combo. I personally will be waiting for the agx for the cobalt before i do any suspension work. It was the best riding set-up on my old cavy (pro-kit/agx).
You have to destroy your original struts? That is retarded. I used Koni adjustables on my previous car and it was a direct replacement.
This doesn't look too kosher. You are basically making your own strut. I'd rather hold out for the B+G coilovers.
I wonder why koni didn't just make a full replacement strut, they would get more sales that way...

Koni does this for a lot of cars actually. It's called a slip in strut. I had to do it for my Z24 as well. It's not a bit deal, and it only has to be done to the fronts. Your basically using the factory mounting assembly of the strut and popping in an adjustable one. What the hell are you going to use the stock front struts for anyhow afterwards? To each his own, but I can confirm these struts will work wonders for lowered suspensions!
