Dumb question
Dumb question
Ok so I got a G tech pro. Decided to try my car out. I found what seemed a flat piece of land, kind of like a marsh. So the Gtech give me a 13.8 quarter at 108mph.
Here where it gets confusing for me, at the moment I only have a GM S2 for the winter. So thats a little low #'s for the modds. Would smaller tires, my winter 16's are about a inch smaller in height make the Gtech give our false #'s?
Or is it simply the cold weather + very light 16's make the difference?
Like I said, the land was deff flat. no hills there

Which one do you have?
I have this one.

G-Tech can give false readings depending on a number of things.
E.G., I used mine in my '71 Camaro and got a 14.2 ET @ 102 mph. A few months later I actually took the car to the dragstrip and ran a 13.8 @ 99 mph. I did not run the G-Tech at the strip at the same time. It's a PITA to do that from what I understand.
Being an accelerometer, it can easily be skewed by shifts, tires spinning then suddenly grabbing traction, bumps in the road, etc. They're a good tuning tool to compare before and after results, but that's as far as I'd trust it. The only thing that will give you real world results is a real dragstrip.

Actually mine is a new Escort GT2. It is supose to be preatty accurate. I have smaller wheels on the car right now, would it make a difference since they are alot lighter and the cold weather?
